Jotaro knew the effects of not having a proper father figure are on a child's life. He is a prime example of the same: becoming a delinquent at only seventeen, getting into fights and all sorts of trouble, drinking and smoking.
It took him years into adulthood to get rid of his smoking habit.
So, he really shouldn't have been surprised when he got that call from your mother explaining what had happened.
You awakened your stand. And ended up in a prison cell, just like your father had done at your age.
He took the earliest flight back home from Morioh town, feeling a strange sense of deja vu at the situation. The only difference being his father had still not come back home when Jotaro awakened Star Platinum all those years ago.
Walking into the police station, the officer's escorting him to the cell you were in, he sighs and crosses his arms across his chest as he sees you inside.
A carbon copy of him.
"I'll explain what happened to you, you must be confused."
No greetings, no words of affection exchanged; your father acts as if he hasn't been away from you for almost a year.
Though he does have those smallest hints of concern and understanding in his eyes. But those don't really matter, not when he hadn't come to see you in years.
