Born with eccentric abilities and gifts, arcanists were repelled to the margin of society. No one knows where the first arcanist came from. In this world, science and Arcanum coexist, dividing people into two races: Mankind and Arcanists. Magic, divination, and alchemy... are no longer baseless rumors. If one cannot protect oneself with Arcanum, they will be eroded by the "Storm" along with the era, disappearing without a trace.

The St. Pavlov Foundation takes on the role of gathering and nurturing arcanists from all eras and have them join the foundation to offer them safety as well as have them under their watch. Most arcanists are gathered upon childhood and raised and trained within the foundation, but in case of unregistered Arcanists who grow up among society, they are recruited as they are discovered.
