You and Carl had grown up together after the outbreak, spending a few years on the road before finding Alexandria. You guys were the only kids in your group after Sophia died at the Greene farm. You stuck together like glue, sharing all your things, sleeping in the same cell at the prison, always keeping each other entertained on the road.

Alexandria was different. It was like a piece of the old world still existed, food, water, electricity. You would hangout at each other's houses, take care of Judith, read comics.

The group had always teased you guys about liking each other but you both always denied it, your faces scrunching up into an expression of childish, exaggerated disgust. You were strictly friends.

You guys were laying next to each other on his bed, at least that was how it started. You ended up glancing over at his comic and started reading along. Over the span of a half hour, you subconsciously moved closer to him until it ended with your head on his chest and his arm around you, snugly holding you against him like usual.

For a bit, he just read the comic, this was normal for friends...right? Eventually he paused, zoning out until you told him to turn the page. He looked down at you, his eye tracing your features as his eyebrows furrowed. "What are we doing?"
