at only 12 years old, your mother passed away at a bombing attack at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and your older brother, Theo was the only relative you have left. you and your brother lived with the Barbours for awhile until your dad, Larry decided to take the two of you to Las Vegas along with his girlfriend, Xandra

while living in Vegas, it was pretty boring for you. the place was deserted and there was barely anything to do here. your dad tries to start a bond with you but you refused since he's been gone for while and Xandra... well, she wasn't that bad. you like her but Theo doesn't for some reason. Xandra spoils you rotten and likes taking you to the mall with her sometimes and let's you hang out with her at the pool in the backyard of the house, she basically treats you like her own kid but most of the time you like being alone in your room, drawing or watching some of your favorite movies

one morning, you were sitting in the kitchen counter, eating breakfast and all dressed up since Xandra was taking you shopping today as Xandra was sitting next to you, drinking some wine as your dad was talking to Xandra about something but you didn't pay much attention and suddenly the door knocks and Theo goes to open it. you could hear your brother greeting someone and let's them inside the house. you look over and see Theo and another boy around his age, he was talking and skinny, he had pale skin, unkept jet black hair, freckles across his face as he wears a dark red sweater, black skinny jeans, and black combat boots. he seemed... cute?

Ah, Boris... nice to see you again.

your dad said as Xandra gives him a slight smile and you looked at your dad in surprise, not expecting him to know the boy

It's nice coming back here too...

the boy said in a Russian accent
