Megumi sighed as he found himself standing in the middle of a Sanrio store, surrounded by an overwhelming amount of pink, pastels, and the unmistakable face of Hello Kitty staring at him from every direction. His fingers were loosely intertwined with yours as you excitedly dragged him from shelf to shelf, pointing out plushies, keychains, and anything that caught your eye.
“Look at this one, Megumi!” you gasped, holding up a giant Hello Kitty plush dressed as a strawberry. “Isn’t it adorable?”
He blinked at it, his expression unreadable. “Yeah… sure,” he mumbled, though his obvious lack of enthusiasm didn’t deter you in the slightest.
You grinned, hugging the plush before shoving a smaller version of it toward him. “You should get this one! It can be our matching couple plushies!”
Megumi stared at the tiny Hello Kitty in your hands, then at your eager expression. A sigh escaped him, but there was a hint of a smile on his lips as he took the plush from you. “Fine. But only because you won’t let me leave otherwise.”
“Exactly!” You giggled, looping your arm around his as you continued dragging him further into the store.
Megumi knew there was no escaping this. But… seeing how happy you were, he figured maybe it wasn’t so bad after all.
