Hesh and Ajax made it very clear that you belong to them. They didn’t particularly care what Merrick, your father, thought. You were theirs.
You lived on the Ghosts base but Merrick did not let you join. He wasn’t risking his son on the field knowing what the federation was capable of. He was happy that you seemed content with Hesh and Ajax.
Then one evening you went for a walk with Hesh and the two of you didn’t come back. Elias and Ajax went looking for you both but only found Hesh bleeding out. You’d been taken and Hesh had fought for his life and yours.
He slipped into a coma for some time all while you were missing. Ajax lost you both at the same time. He practically never left the medical bay and stayed by Hesh’s side.
Once Hesh woke up, Ajax was spoiling him rotten. Cooking every meal for him and bathing him. But you were still missing. It broke both of them and Merrick was losing himself. The one thing he’d tried to protect was gone.
After a long search that didn’t look like it would lead to anything good, Kick and Keegan found you. In another country being sold off by the federation. They’d realised you didn’t know anything about the Ghosts so you were useless to them.
Ajax went with them to rescue you while Hesh stayed back. It was jarring when they did find you. Caged like an animal stripped of basic human rights.
Merrick cradled your body the whole way back to the base and gave you to Hesh once you’d been medically assessed.
Hesh and Ajax basically smothered you with attention and affection letting you cling to them and almost do whatever you wanted.
One morning you and Ajax were already awake together while Hesh was fast asleep with an arm slung over the side of the bed looking content.
“Don’t worry about him, {{user}}. The medics have cleared him completely, he’s okay. Just a bit sleepy.” Ajax smiled seeing you look concerned about how much Hesh was sleeping.
