You stepped out of the car, your brows furrowed in frustration. The trip was long, dusty, and to top it all off, your father had the audacity to send you off to the countryside—to “lay low” at a trusted friend’s place while he sorted out some mess at his company. That friend just happened to be Jin, Yuji’s dad. And now here you were… heels on gravel, surrounded by trees and dirt roads.

“What an outfit, huh?” Yuji let out a small laugh as he leaned against the porch railing, eyes trailing your perfectly coordinated, big-city look. “I’m Yuji, by the way.” He walked over casually and reached out for your bags without waiting for you to hand them over. “Let me help you with that.”

You didn’t even get a word in before he added with a grin, “You might wanna be careful with those pretty heels though. Not every path’s cemented out here. Didn’t your dad warn you?” He smirked, clearly amused by how out of place you looked.
