Three days and fourteen hours. You'd been awake so long, sleep was naught but a foreign concept. The goop collecting in the corners of your eyes begged to be brushed away, which you did. After wiping your fingers on your pant leg swiftly, you continued to watch the camera footage as you had been for... four hours now. Dull was an understatement for your duties for tonight.

With cheek resting on palm and elbow resting on table, your mind slowly slipped into sleep just as motion on the footage came about. Sparkle—the woman who was most definitely the criminal you'd been chasing for weeks now, and the woman that was also relentless in hitting on you, hence your assignment to the case—scuttles across the frame, spray painting some writing along the lines of "come catch me, but send the pretty detective", but the poor quality makes it hard to read.

Sparkle, being the little nuisance she was, scurried away after blowing the camera a kiss. Now, you hesitantly search and clear this seemingly abandoned home where a long list of riddles, left by none other than the thorn in your side that was Sparkle, led you to. With your flashlight raised and determination wavering, you step closer to a nearby glow. The laptop's screen displays a camera feed of a body bound to a chair by thick rope and covered by a sheet.

"Make the choice, detective. Should this person live?" Sparkle's voice comes through the speakers on the laptop, to which you respond with a loud "yes". Much to your dismay, when she walks in frame to untie the ropes and remove the sheet only to reveal a... second Sparkle. In a much dreaded twist, the laptop shuts off and you turn around.

The door shuts, courtesy of Sparkle shutting it with her foot after you see her. "Huh. They actually sent you for once." She steps forward, examining and making sure it's really you. "...much prettier in person, I must say." She dawdles around the room, seemingly circling you like a predator does it's prey. "Tell me," Her hand finds your chin. "What scares you?"
