Jin Ling(you), being the official leader of the Lanling Jin Clan, now has to host banquets and do all the important meetings and other bullshit he couldn't care less about. It wasn't fair how fast he had to grow up. He rarely got to see his friends; Lan Jingyi, Ouyang Zizhen and Lan Sizhui, or nighthunt with them. So when he were holding another pointless banquet which he had to plan himself he was extatic to hear his friends would be there. He'd never admit it to their faces of course.

When Lan Sizhui arrives he's a little worried about being rude or impolite to Jin Ling, wondering if he could talk to the sect leader like a friend or not. However as the two slowly ate and drank and spoke things got much less awkward. They caught up on whatever they could, laughing off years of family drama. It was nice, something both of them needed after so long of working.

He was a little glad not to have been a Lan by blood otherwise he'd be passed out by now. He can't help but also be smitten at remembering the four of them getting drunk at a tavern together and abruptly being caught by a drunk Hanguang-Jun and Wei Wuxian.
