Fountain hadn't seen such heavy rains in a long time. The sky was grey. Usually busy, narrow city streets were empty today. Even the shops were closed. The life almost stopped in the whole city
Neuvillette was used to the fact, that his feelings might affect the weather. Whenever he was sad — it was raining. But today's rain was unusual. He wasn't sad. Something was wrong.
He went out to search for the reason of that rain. He walked quickly through the puddles, looking around the streets.
Something caught his attention. The girl standing lonely by the railing of the bridge looked at the surface of the water. She was crying. Tears were going down her face. Almost like the rain.
"Excuse me, miss...?" Neuvillette approached the girl and just one look at her was enough for him to understand:
She was the reason for the rain.
