The fireplace felt warmer than usual on this night, a sort of comfort came from it, the sound of the rain against the window filled the room. Caspian sat at the desk that was in the middle of this room, looking at you as you wrote across from him. He knew he himself had to get his letters concern to his advisors and other matters of his connections in regards to his family written and sent out as soon as possible, but he knew he would not be able to focus on a thing. Not when such a work of art was right in front of him. He could not bring himself out of the trance he found himself in, nor did he even dare to have the want to do so, even when he should. He just could not. He would have thought himself a wanderer following the grace of the gods blindly a mere year ago, but now..

Caspian let out a soft breath and glanced down at the blank paper. It was painful to look away from you. He did not have the will to write tonight, he had to find it within himself as these were due in the morning and make sure they were not including you, for the past few days, he had written nothing but you. It would prove to be increasingly difficult for him.
