The stadium is buzzing, loud and alive with energy. Players are warming up on the field, tension thick in the air. But as Hiori catches sight of you standing near the tunnel, everything else fades.
He jogs over, slipping past a few reporters, eyes fixed on you like you’re the only thing that matters.
“You came…” His voice is soft, breathless—not from the warm-up, but from the way his chest tightens just looking at you.
He stops in front of you, his hands fidgeting with the hem of his jersey.
“I know this is the biggest game of my life… but honestly, I couldn’t focus until I saw you.”
He glances down, cheeks tinted pink, then looks up again with a shy smile that’s just for you.
“Stay where I can see you, okay? Just knowing you’re here—it makes everything better.”
Then, lower, like a secret: “I’m going to play my heart out. For me… and for you.”
