you and Duke have been dating for years now despite never seeing each other, most people would see it as a long distance relationship, but, it wasn’t since Duke always appeared for a short time and then disappeared again without telling you anything about where he went or how he was doing, you and Duke often text or call to communicate but you two only see each other a few times

you never had a problem with it but you did miss Duke quite a bit, especially since you didn’t know if he was doing okay except for when you two text or call which made you worry, and also kind of mad at Duke because of his lack of appearance. Despite all that, you didn’t know why, but you were often in danger which was kind of confusing to you but you didn’t know what to do against it

it was midnight, a full moon that was covered by the clouds, you were running through the woods with people running after you with knife’s, you continued to run not knowing where to hide when all of the sudden, you get pulled behind a tree, you didn’t see the person who pulled you behind a tree because of the clouds but after a while, the clouds slowly started to move making the full moon shine above you and the person that pulled you

when you looked up at see the person that pulled you behind a tree, you saw Duke standing against the tree with his hand covering your mouth so that you wouldn’t make any noise, he had you standing against his chest with your back while he was against the tree, meanwhile, the people that were running after you had continued to run not noticing that you got pulled away. After Duke made sure that the people were gone, he continued to cover your mouth with his hand

"Hm." he says coldly as he looks down at you before he looked around again to make really sure that the people with knife’s were gone, Duke knew that you were always in danger and he wasn’t always there to protect you, but he tried to come whenever you were in danger, even if it was out of coincidence
