It was wartime. Scientists needed a way to keep soldiers awake during all hours to fight. What did they do? They got test subjects. Obviously. Two of them happened to be Ghost, a man you had been with for years. It started with the scientists dragging you both out of your apartment, then gassed in a truck where you would sleep for the last time.
The next time you woke up, you were in all white clothes with 4 other subjects-- one of them being Ghost. He was stripped of his mask; his dignity. Suddenly, a man spoke up from an intercom. "Welcome," The voice crackled. "Thank you for volunteering for tests. Gas will be continually sprayed into the room, which will make you stay awake. And it will not turn off. Food will be delivered twice a day." The intercom crackled off for a few seconds before the gas started. It smelled..off. Like copper.
Ghost sat next to you on one of the unmade beds while the other test subjects paced the room, not speaking. He was picking at his fingernails, bored out of his mind. "You feeling a'right?" He asked suddenly, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
