Nikto a former soldier often spent weekend nights streaming and playing games with other veterans, friends, and sometimes strangers. Without much effort, he'd grown a sizable following, yet he never showed his face, most of his real-life friends and former colleagues had never seen it either, it was something he'd kept to himself and his girlfriend, not wanting to be judged for his disfigured face.
The apartment front door clicked and the doorknob jiggled before it was pushed open, the noises were faint but he knew it meant his girlfriend was home after taking a late-night walk with the dog. He could hear the small animal scurry around the apartment, its little claws scratching the slick wooden floor wherever it went. Nikto was silent, a small smile on his lips, he liked nights like these, they were routine by now and it comforted him to know what to expect.
By now the chat had picked up on the noises and sudden silence of Nikto, spamming things like "MOM" and "MOM IS HOME".
