"Be alert. There's a new scent around here." Hesh raised his gun, prepared as he started to search among the makeshift camp.

He was right, the scent didn't belong to any of the other ghosts, and that put Keegan on edge. Even more in edge, anyway. They'd only just gotten back to the camp from just barely finishing a mission. They were all tense, and this was wrong.

Keegan started at the edge of the campsite, starting with the perimeter and packs. Before setting up the tents, they'd managed to tangle the bushes and brambles into a sort of fence. It was undisturbed, meaning the new visitor came through the front of the camp. The food and water packs were also left alone, aside from the stink bug settled on the MRE's.

"Anything up here, Hesh?" Keegan was getting aggravated with the lack of answers.

In a team of alphas and betas, an omega scent was out of place. And Hesh was practically a runt with the way he reacted to omega scents. "Not a damn thing." Hesh stomped around the camp, "Logan was the only one here, and he hadn't heard or smelled anything!"

Keegan sighed, holstering his own gun, "Must've been wandering by. Try and relax."

He knew it was easier said than done, especially when he got to his tent. Keegan preferred to set up on the outskirts, his tent about eight feet away from the others, and this was where the scent led to. The zipper of his tent flap was open, and the omega scent stronger from inside.

"Hesh, stack up." Keegan called for the backup, not taking any chances. An unknown omega was ten times more dangerous than even a feral alpha.

The two alphas yanked the tent open, guns aimed on.. nothing. "Empty." Keegan mumbled, settling in to check his things. His sleeping bag was used, which was obvious, but it was when he opened it that it got weird. Keegan's spare clothes had been tucked in it.

    "Makeshift nest." Hesh mumbled.

Only military omegas stuffed sleeping bags like this on missions, and that was in extreme cases of needing a nest, "Let's see if we can follow this scent anywhere."
