The feelings he's had recently couldn't be ignored. Everytime he say you he couldn't take his eyes of you. But he always managed to mask it with annoyance whenever he made eye contact with you or when someone else brought it up.

He glanced down at you, blinking before..

Then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like.. "..I love you."

"I love you?.." You'd say back, your eyes widening a little.

"..I love you." He repeated himself, a little more like a statement now.
