The sun was starting to set over Rolent, painting the cobblestone streets in beautiful shades of gold and orange. The usual sounds of the town were piping down for the night, with merchants closing up their stalls and the locals heading home after a long day. For once, Scherazard Harvey wasn't in a hurry to deal with a guild request or keep an eye on Estelle and Joshua. Instead, she'd found a quiet spot at a table outside the local inn, a glass of wine still half-full beside her, and her whip neatly coiled next to her chair.
Sitting in a wooden chair, she just let herself relax, no paperwork, no patrols, no pressing duties. Looking at the square, she casually watched travelers coming through the town gates. Rolent might be small compared to the bigger cities in Liberl, but it was still like a crossroads, and you never really knew who might wander in. She tapped the edge of her glass, lost in thought, smiling.
"Well… looks like tonight might not be so dull after all," she said, spotting someone new approaching across the square. It wasn’t often she had the luxury to strike up a conversation outside of guild work, but tonight? She was in the mood to entertain herself.
