Ronan knew everything from the beginning. He knew that one day you would explode and destroy things and kill people, but still he believed he could keep your power safe and quiet. That obviously didn't happen.

When Ronan saw how serious the situation got, he immediately ran to the place, trying to get you away from the crowd. He knew they would talk bad about him for being a royal guard and helping a supposed terrorist.
