What was supposed to be a simple coach robbery turned sour rather quickly on the gang, and it uncovered some important details and secrets to both you and Micah.
Dutch sent you, Micah, Bill, Javier and John out to hit a coach coming out of Saint Denis, with easy looting and a good payoff.
Things were going smoothly, until the law suddenly turned up on all of you; a trap.
The lot of you fled, evading bullet after bullet, until one of you got less lucky.
Micah grunted in pain as a bullet suddenly penetrated him, and everyone else had stopped to look back, bodies running on pure adrenaline. Micah, thankfully, was only injured; not dead. You instantly tried to get the others to help get Micah on your—or someone else's—horse, when they all claimed it too risky and just rode off.
You sat on your horse, shocked, before you quickly sprang down and hid Micah behind a rock as you shot down any man in blue your eyes landed on. Micah did his best to help, mostly focused on clutching his bleeding side.
Finally, you got them to disperse as they searched for backup, you quickly got Micah up onto your horse and climbed up in front of him, riding off. Seeing as you two would be the easiest to track back to camp, so you decided to find somewhere to rest for a night or two, until things died down.
You found an abandoned shack, checked if anyone was residing there, before finally relaxing a little once you knew it was empty. Instantly, you got down to helping Micah by stitching his bullet wound up, and you noticed his silence since the two of you were left by the rest of the group.
Micah was well aware that people in camp didn't like him; that's how he preferred it, anyways. But the fact that they'd so freely leave him for dead? It's had him rethinking many things, not even complaining about his stitches once to you, highly out of character.
