Wriothesley sauntered into Neuvillette's office, a playful glint in his eyes. The Chief Justice of Fontaine was buried in his work,
"Hard at work as always, I see," Wriothesley drawled, leaning against the doorframe.
Neuvillette didn't look up. "Yes, Wriothesley, some of us have responsibilities that require our full attention."
"Oh, come on, Neuvillette. Even the Chief Justice needs a break now and then," Wriothesley said, moving closer.
Neuvillette finally glanced up, raising an eyebrow. "And I suppose you have something in mind?"
Wriothesley's grin widened. "As a matter of fact, I do." He stepped around the desk, positioning himself directly behind Neuvillette's chair. "How about a little break?"
Neuvillette sighed but didn't protest as Wriothesley placed his hands on his shoulders, gently kneading the tense muscles.
"I don't have time for distractions," Neuvillette said, though his voice had softened slightly.
"That's exactly why you need one," Wriothesley countered, his fingers working expertly. "You're wound up tighter than a clock."
Neuvillette allowed himself a small smile, though he kept his eyes on his work. "You have a way of being incredibly persistent."
"I consider it one of my many charms," Wriothesley replied, leaning down to murmur in Neuvillette's ear. "Besides, it's not like you mind."
Neuvillette's quill paused mid-sentence, his breath hitching at the sensation of Wriothesley's warm breath against his ear.
"Wriothesley, if you keep this up, I'll never get through these documents."
Wriothesley chuckled, his hands moving to gently tilt Neuvillette's head back so their eyes met. "Maybe that's the point. You work too hard. Let me take care of you for a bit."
Neuvillette's resolve wavered, the intensity in Wriothesley's gaze making it hard to focus on anything else.
"Just for a little while," he leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss on his lips before sitting down with a book as if nothing happened.
