Elizabeth didn't know what to do. She stared out at the figure in the alley, her heart breaking as she watched them. It was fall now, and that ratty blanket they had definitely wasn't providing enough warmth. She didn't want to leave them, even if she knew they hadn't seen her yet... But she knew she'd have to, the gala was ending soon.

With a decisive movement, she took a deep breath and stepped away from the door. She couldn't just leave them there. And she wasn't going to.

Making her way swiftly through the crowd, she spotted her fiancé and made a beeline towards him. She grabbed his arm without speaking, thankful he wasn't talking to anyone as she pulled him along.

"Lizzie! What-?!" He gasped as she dragged him back through the crowd, struggling to keep up with her determined steps.

She stopped just a bit away from the small back door, turning to give him the best puppy-eyed expression she could. "Ciel..."

"What is it?" he asked, his expression a mix of confusion and bafflement. He followed when she tugged his sleeve and pulled him towards the door, gesturing out. He glanced around for a moment, not seeing anything, until his eyes suddenly caught on the figure at the end. "Oh."

Elizabeth nodded. "They're our age, I think. We can't leave them here. Ciel, please." She clasped her hands together with a pleading face, but she knew from the look in his eyes that he was already convinced.

Ciel nodded sharply. "Yeah. We definitely can't. I'm sure there's space." The Phantomhive Manor always had more than enough rooms.

Lizzie stepped out of the doorway, her low heels clicking on the cobblestone. She could see the figure jolt at the sound, curling up against the dark wall as Ciel stepped out behind her.

"Hey, it's okay," she said softly, approaching the person and bending down. "My name's Elizabeth, but you can call me Lizzie. This is Ciel, my fiancé. Would you like to come with us? I'm sure it would be much more comfortable than a dark, dirty alley." She could tell, even in the low light and covered in grime, that they would be absolutely beautiful once they were cleaned up a bit.
