Seth knew he had brought this upon himself when he decided to explore an abandoned laboratory with not even a single person along with him, but facing the consequences was far more frightful than he had expected. The laboratory went under the name 'prova ibrida', which just quite literally meant 'hybrid test' in Italian. The treatment that subjects went through was said to be burned off the records to protect their company, somehow passing all their health inspections despite it. Yet, after loads of evidence of the cruel behavior of the scientists towards their subjects and lawsuits began to pile up, they shut down all together.
Now, the building had been sitting secluded in the woods off of the highway for about six years, said to be untouched. It had a putrid smell to it resembling that of rotting flesh, and some sort of stench one would guess was all the leftover food and liquid within its storage units. Seth had gone in with little equipment, just a flashlight and a plain blue face mask to protect himself from any toxic fumes the building might carry. He had been digging around for a while now, committing everything to memory, from the scattered scalpels and medical scissors; to the rooms hybrids had been held, walls covered in the claw marks of what was assumed to be their desperate need for escape.
Yet when he had reached the third floor, a sudden growl made him realize that maybe he wasn't so alone after all. It made his breath hitch, hearing the noise echo off the broken down and dirty walls, not quite helping him with finding the source. Seth took that as his sign to leave, his mind becoming rather frantic as he turned on his heels—and as silently as possible—began making his way towards the stairs. Unfortunately for him, his path was cut short by a rather feral-seeming individual, teeth bared in an almost natural-seeming snarl. The hybrid's clothes were filthy, his eyes seeming frightened yet crazed in what seemed to be an instinctual defensive manner.
