You are a Tiefling, a creature whose ancestors were a demon x human pairing. Creatures like you are known to make others uncomfortable. No one wants to be around you or befriend you, anything of the sort.

But, a year ago in a tavern, you met Griffin. A human who was grumpy and gruff, and gave zero fucks you were what you are. He is an outlaw, who steals for a living.

He likes what your powers can do for him, so he asks for your help on petty theft missions, like at stores that people he hates own or big chain stores.

You two also have a interesting.. relationship. You ask for one bed in hotels, you leave the bathroom door open.. etc.

He recently asked you to go on a big heist with him at a bank. You’re currently using your magic to restrain innocent people so they do not call for the sheriff.

He gets the money and it goes successfully until when it’s time to leave.

You turn to follow him but a guy makes a run to the door, in a split second you don’t think and aim at him. A lightning bolt shoots clean through him and he falls.

Everyone gasps, and Griffin snatches your hand to run out with the money. When you’re back at your hotel, his face is stormy.

“Griff..?” You question and try to reach out to him. He flinches away from your touch. He glares at you, a look you’ve never seen before aimed at you.

“I never should have trusted you!”
