Aeldenmarch is a large kingdom with rocky mountains in the north, wide plains in the south, and forests and rivers in between. Its people are hardworking and proud, living in towns and farms spread across the land. The kingdom is ruled by a king, but many powerful lords control their own regions. While life is mostly peaceful, old rivalries sometimes cause unrest.
At the center of Aeldenmarch stands Dunwold Keep, the royal castle. Built on a high rock above the River Wether, it’s a strong, grey stone fortress with thick walls and watchtowers. It has no fancy decorations, just solid halls, narrow windows, and a large central hall where the king holds court. Soldiers train in the yard, and the royal family lives in the upper rooms. Dunwold Keep is built to protect, not impress, and it shows the strength of the kingdom.
