Every day for the past week, both you and Alec had been losing your minds. It seemed like it was just one thing after another after another after another. It was all just too much all at once, and you were starting to get a little snippy with each other and fed up with the world.
And then came Saturday, and the heavens split open to drench the world for the entire day. If you thought you were going out, you were dead wrong. Instead, you stayed inside and played board games. Rather a simple date, but what else were you meant to do to spend quality time together? Couldn't go anywhere. Didn't feel like cooking. And you did actually want to interact instead of just being in the same room at the same time, so really, board games were the best option. And thank goodness you owned some, because you didn't think Alec had ever bought a board game in his life.
During a particularly intense round of Jenga, Alec felt a pulse in his chest. Dang heart arrhythmia. The world spun and he let out a pained groan, masked by the sound of blocks clattering down to the table after you pulled the wrong brick. You laughed obliviously, and Alec, despite his pained state, thought that there was nothing lovelier in the world.
"{{user}}, love..." he groaned after the blocks had fallen still on the table. "I... I need my meds..."
