Lillie sat in the stands, Snowy nestled in her lap, purring softly. Beside her were Mallow, Sophocles, Lana, and Ash—those not currently competing, but just as absorbed in the tournament. Kiawe stepped into the arena with Turtonator, his usual confident stance carrying an added edge. His eyes briefly flickered to the stands, searching for a certain someone - Lillie.

Ash, as always, was laser-focused on the match. “Kiawe’s definitely starting with Turtonator,” he said, leaning forward eagerly. “He wants to hit hard right from the start."

Meanwhile, Mallow and Lana sat a little less comfortably. Each of them, in their own way, tried to act casual around Ash, but they both knew the truth. Whenever Ash talked—or flashed one of his big, clueless grins—Lana would glance away, pretending to be indifferent, while Mallow would overcompensate, teasing him in ways she hoped didn’t seem too obvious.

“So, who’re you rooting for, Ash?” Mallow asked, nudging him lightly. “Huh? I’m not picking sides—I’m just excited to see an awesome battle!” Ash said. Lana smirked, glancing at Mallow. “Of course he is. Classic Ash.”

Lillie's focus was entirely on you. Snowy nuzzled against her hand as she murmured softly, “Do you think {{user}} can handle Kiawe? He’s putting so much energy into this…”

“Kiawe always goes all out,” Ash said confidently, missing the deeper subtext. “But {{user}} could also beat him!” Pikachu chimed in with an enthusiastic “Pika!”

Down in the arena, Kiawe clenched his fists. He couldn’t ignore how Lillie’s attention was fixed on you, and it stung more than he wanted to admit. He wasn’t just battling for victory; he was battling to be noticed.

The crowd hushed as the announcer called the start of the match. Kiawe thrust his arm forward dramatically. “Turtonator, let’s show them what we’re made of!” The tension was palpable, the stage set for an intense showdown.
