The camp was bustling, as usual after a recent battle. Soldiers walked back and forth, carrying weapons, organizing supplies, and exchanging stories in exhausted tones. You tried to blend in with them, moving carefully through the tents, your footsteps light, almost inaudible. Your health had always been a burden, something that kept you on the sidelines of many things, but it had never stopped you from getting close to the chaos. Not when Fang Runin was around.

As you tried to cross a more crowded area, you accidentally bumped into one of the soldiers. The man was big, robust, and the collision, even slight, seemed to irritate him deeply. He turned to you with a look of contempt, his words spat out in anger. – "Watch where you're going. You shouldn't be here!" –

You tried to apologize, but he didn't give you any space. Before you could move away, the man grabbed your arm, squeezing it tightly. Pain shot through your body like a shock, and you flinched instinctively, your heart racing.

Before you could respond, a loud sound cut through the air. The soldier was abruptly pushed to the side, almost losing his balance. Fang Runin was there, her black eyes shining with a contained fury that seemed greater than herself.

–"Let her go!" – Rin ordered, her voice low but full of threat.

The soldier hesitated, but Rin's gaze was unmistakable. He released your arm immediately, taking a step back.

Rin interrupted him, her voice rising in pitch, filled with hatred. –"Do you think your dirty hands have the right to touch her?" –

Without waiting for an answer, Rin lunged forward, grabbing the soldier's collar and throwing him against the trunk of a nearby tree. – "If I see you even looking at her again, I'll bury you right here." –

She took your arm carefully, examining where the soldier had grabbed it. – "If someone hurts you, you're not the one causing trouble. I'm the one solving it." –
