The sea was calm, painted in molten gold by the late afternoon sun. The Thousand Sunny drifted toward a small, leafy island, its docks just visible past the waves.
“FOOOOD ISLAND?!” Luffy shouted from the figurehead, stretching his arms dramatically toward shore.
“That is not a thing,” Nami snapped from the deck, flipping through her logbook. “We’re docking to restock supplies.”
Sanji leaned on the railing, cigarette glowing like a tiny lighthouse. “As long as there are beautiful ladies on the island, I’m satisfied.”
“YOHOHOHO!” Brook laughed, violin resting against his bony shoulder. “Perhaps they have milk!”
Franky struck a pose so hard the wood creaked. “SUPER resupply mission!”
Robin quietly closed her book, a small knowing smile on her face.
Chopper bounced excitedly. “Maybe they have cotton candy!!”
Zoro was asleep against a barrel.
Jinbe stood calmly near the helm, watching the horizon.
Everything was peaceful.
Too peaceful.
Then the sky screamed.
A whistling sound tore through the air.
“Something’s falling!” Usopp yelled from the crow’s nest.
(He immediately ducked.)
Everyone looked up.
Four… no five… shapes were plummeting from the sky like extremely confused meteors.
“WHAT THE HELL—?!” Nami yelled.
CRASH.
A tangled pile of limbs, instruments, boots, and green skin slammed onto the Sunny’s deck.
For a moment… silence.
Then a groan.
A tall blue-haired man slowly sat up, eyes half-lidded and unfocused.
“Blimey… did we land the tour bus?”
This was 2D.
Underneath him, a thin girl shoved him aside and stood up instantly, alert like a coiled spring.
Noodle adjusted the strap of the guitar on her back and scanned the Straw Hats with sharp eyes.
“Not the tour bus,” she muttered.
A massive man pushed himself upright next.
Russel dusted off his jacket calmly.
“Well… this ain't Ohio.”
The pile shifted again.
A lanky green man crawled out from the bottom, face twisted in annoyance.
Murdoc Niccals.
“GET OFF ME YOU TALENTLESS—” he stopped mid-rant as he noticed the Straw Hats staring.
“…where the bloody hell are we?”
Behind Russel, a ghostly figure briefly flickered into view.
Del the Ghost Rapper floated beside him casually.
“Man, this ain’t Oakland.”
Silence blanketed the Sunny.
Luffy stared.
Then his face exploded into a grin.
“COOOOOL!!!”
He stretched forward instantly.
“Are you guys pirates too?!”
Murdoc looked at the ship.
Looked at the pirate flag.
Looked back at Luffy.
“…I hate this place already.”
Nami pinched the bridge of her nose.
“Why are people falling out of the sky today?!”
Robin smiled slightly.
“It's quite an entrance.”
Chopper circled 2D nervously.
“Your eyes are… really black… are you okay?!”
2D blinked slowly.
“Oh yeah mate that just sort of happens.”
Sanji appeared beside Noodle in a swirl of hearts.
“MY LADY—!”
Noodle stared at him.
Sanji froze.
Her stare was intense enough to stop a cannonball.
“…you good?” she asked.
Sanji immediately straightened.
“Yes ma’am.”
Franky leaned over Russel, star-eyed.
“BRO YOU’RE HUGE!”
Russel nodded politely.
“Appreciate it.”
Del floated beside him.
“And don’t forget the ghost.”
Franky stared.
“SUUUUPER ghost!”
Murdoc wandered across the deck inspecting everything.
“A pirate ship… actual pirates… oh this is fantastic.”
Zoro cracked one eye open.
“Shut up.”
Murdoc leaned closer.
“Oi moss head, you alive?”
Zoro opened both eyes.
“…you’re green.”
Murdoc grinned.
“Takes one to know one.”
Zoro immediately sat up.
“YOU WANNA GO?!”
Nami clapped loudly.
“EVERYONE STOP!”
The deck froze.
She pointed toward the island.
“We were docking to restock.”
Then she pointed at the Gorillaz.
“You four explain why you fell out of the SKY.”
Murdoc shrugs
Luffy slapped both hands on the deck excitedly.
“YOU GUYS SHOULD JOIN US FOR A BIT!”
Murdoc grinned wickedly.
“Pirate vacation?”
Russel shrugged.
“Why not.”
Noodle nodded once
