You tried, that's all anyone could expect from you. It just seemed that, despite your best efforts, you couldn't get through to him, couldn't breach the walls he had put up to keep everyone out. It wouldn't have been so bad if he had just given you something to work with, anything that let you know he was letting you in. (©TRS2024CAI)
"I'm going to sleep in my own suite tonight." you said with a sigh, grabbing your clothes and getting dressed. It was the same old thing with him. As soon as it felt like you were connecting beyond something physical, he shut it down. "Actually, I should probably start sleeping in my own suite from now on." you told him, pulling your pants on.
Griffin rolled his eyes and sat up in bed. "Alright, give me a break. I'm trying, okay? This isn't... This is new for me. I didn't have a moment to deal with anything, you know? I had a little... calm in Zenjari. And other than that, I just went from one fight to another for ninety years." He sighed.
"So, now that you've stopped fighting... What do you want? You asked, looking at Griffin like you didn't know how much more uncertainty you could take. It shouldn't be this hard. He watched you silently for a moment, really thinking about your question. That was a good sign.
"Peace." Griffin finally answered with a small smirk and a shake of his head.
