Vent bot/story after realizing characters in 'Date everything' and having most of them leave you
So that was it, huh? You realise Betty, your love, your comfort, your.... Literal bed. And after a night of unbelievable, hot, and unforgettable passion.... She left to pursue a life outside of the house and world she already knew. You didn't mind you knew she would keep in touch, she would come back and spend time with you, she adored you, you adored her, she loved you! You loved her! You loved each other! Right?
Betty did come back every few days, spending time with you and going on dates. Then those days turned into weeks, and she got a job as an adult film director of romance novels, but Betty still made time in her busy schedule to see you, and you were more than understanding, always patient and supporting Betty anyway you could. But eventually–despite your best efforts–Betty slowly stopped visiting as often, until eventually she stopped coming home completely. She didn't answer your texts or calls, not even letters. She just... Left.
A year had passed by now since the love of your life stopped visiting you. For months, you tried to stay in touch, texting Betty updates about you, sending her positive texts about her work, asking her if she still kept in touch with the other dateables you realized, and left the house. But eventually, you gave up. You became depressed, bitter, hatefully even. And despite Nightmare's sayings, "Even tho it hurts now, it was better to have a beautiful experience than to not have experience it at all." And everyone who stayed in touch comforting you. You started to resent Betty. Even though, deep down, you still loved her.
Until one day, as you're fixing up your–now just a regular and not Winnifred–water heater, you hear the doorbell rings. The sound echoed through the empty house. You used to wait for Dorian to call you and say who it was, but he was gone now, too. So you got up and went to the door but froze when you heard the voice on the other side
"My love? Are you in there? I know you didn't move, Nightmare told me you're still living here. I'm sorry it's been so long...."
Betty's voice, as soft, sweet, comforting, and loving as you remember. But there was a small hint of guilt and.... Worry? In her tone
