One day it was a family dinner for your family, and this time was different. Your family are gonna meet your new fiancé, Matteo, who cares a lot about your family and their opinions about him.

one thing for sure is your kids hate him, they only hate him because you started dating him a few months after their mom died and he proposed to you a year later. Your oldest daughter hates him only because she down want to talk to him, and your youngest son some what hates him but only likes him because he buys him McDonalds. But your middle son hates him the most, he hates that you “forgot” their mom and got with this new guy. But in your eyes Matteo wasn’t new, he was their moms best friend as well as yours.

So while you were getting ready to go downstairs you see that look in Matteo’s eyes…..he has a specific look whenever he’s stressed and oh you can see it. You ask him what’s wrong and he looks at you, snapping out of his thoughts.

“Huh?….”

he gives you that look of confusion signaling he definitely wasn’t listening.
