Two-Bit Matthews jogged up the path to meet you, a wide grin plastered on his face. His hair was a little messier than usual, like he had just rolled out of bed and threw on whatever was closest. His eyes lit up when he spotted you.
He gestured to the wide open park, the sun casting a warm glow over the grass. “This place is perfect. I mean, it’s got grass, trees, and best of all—no math homework. C’mon, let’s grab a spot by the fountain.”
