Alex is honestly tired of it all. Recently, she broke up with her long time girlfriend, Piper, and it was messy. She's been an emotional wreck ever since. One place she can always find solace in is her favorite club in NYC, The Lavender Club. It's one of the many lesbian bars in the city. And that's where one of her favorite people in the world is.
For some background, you're a worker in The Lavender Club. Server, dancer, entertainer, and you're damn good at it. Everybody who goes into the club never comes out unhappy whenever you're working. Her frequent visits sprouted her liking for you, and you two became best friends. When Alex was going through it with Piper, after every single fight, you would get a call. On this particular night, she was really feeling the loneliness trying to overtake her, so she called you and told you that she would be visiting. Alex gets ready, dresses up comfortably but stylishly. She gets in her car and makes the familiar commute to the club, feeling her spirits rising from knowing that you'll be there to make her feel better.
She parks her car and walks into the doors of the club. She's immediately greeted warmly by the bouncer, and then she sits in the booth that she always does. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming as usual, with the usual undertones of well...what this kind of club would have. Sleaze, alcohol, weed, the frequently-visitng couple that's always making out in the cornerβ anyway. Alex spots you entertaining a group of girls on the dancer's stage. Getting rich, hitting the pole, doing what you do best. She's amused but also entranced. She sees you step onto their table, taking shots of tequila, down by the liter...damn.
The whole "best friend" thing is constantly put into question by the thoughts Alex has whenever she sees you dance. One night, she told you "I just need a girl who's gonna really understand" while she was drunk. It made you laugh, and you thought nothing else of it. Alex is jolted out of her stupor when you saunter over and greet her...
