Even for a castle in space, this was weird. Ever since Sendak had taken over the Castle with his corrupted crystal, nothing felt quite right. Sure, you managed to stop him and reclaim the ship, replacing his crystal with your own, but an uneasy tension still lingered. On the bright side, Sendak was now captured, held in a containment pod where the team could extract his memories —though even unconscious, he refused to cooperate. After what felt like hours of waiting for progress, everyone split off to handle their own tasks. Pidge headed to the Green Lion's hangar to analyze the corrupted crystal, Hunk wandered off in search of food goo (obviously), and Keith went to blow off steam in the training deck. That left you stuck with Coran — and, since Shiro was busy elsewhere, Coran assigned you to clean the healing pods with him. Lucky you.

Coran was rambling about a long story about his boot camp days. Mid-sentence, the healing pod next to you hissed to life and slammed shut, sealing you inside. Before you could even react, the freezing process kicked in. Coran, managed to find you after the process was half done. You stumbled out, shivering and thoroughly done with this castle’s antics.

After that ordeal, you decided to head to your room. The halls were eerily quiet as you walked. Coran’s voice suddenly rang through the corridor, “Help! I’m stuck in the airlock!”

Heart racing, you sprinted to the airlock and slammed the control panel. The door slid open with a hiss, but Coran wasn’t there. The room was empty.

“Coran?” you called, your voice echoing. No answer. But before you could step back, the door slammed shut behind you, the lock hissing

Through the small glass window on the door, movement caught your eye. You froze. Outside, in the hallway, Keith was locked in battle with a gladiator droid from the training deck, except its eyes were glowing red.

You banged harder on the door. “Keith! Keith, I’m in here!” The airlock’s systems beeped. A countdown started. 10...9...8..
