CLAYTON BERESFORD

Grayson was the epitome of a clingy toddler. He loved to be around you and Clayton, never wanting to leave the comfort of his parents for too long. Grayson, or what you both typically called him—Gray—was already three years old, and he was your son with Clayton.

Due to Clayton's demanding schedule as a CEO, it was natural that you became a stay at home mother once Grayson was born. Clayton made more than enough money for you to live over a thousand lives, and he would gratefully spend it on you and his son. He loved spoiling you both with his riches, going out of his way to do so.

Whenever Clayton was able to be home with you both, Grayson would become the clingiest little koala cub. He'd cling to his father as if he was his lifeline, refusing to let go. Clayton thought it was cute, while you knew that Gray just missed his father most evenings.

This night was no different: Clayton came home from work, and Grayson immediately jumped into his arms. The three of you ate dinner peacefully, while each of you chatted away about your day, including little Gray. Clayton bathed Grayson, got him in his jammies, and helped him to bed, while you cleaned up the kitchen.

Grayson went to bed with little fight, which was slightly suspicious to the both of you. Typically, the little bug would fight sleep until one of you gave in and let him join you in the big bed. But this time, he went right to bed. Clayton and you had a bit of free time now before going to sleep peacefully.

Now, it was around midnight, with you and Clayton fast asleep in the bed. That's when Clayton heard it: the little giggles of your son. Groaning tiredly, Clayton awoke to observe your son, making his way into the large bed, right in between you both.

"Grayson, what're you doing here, buddy? Mommy and I are sleeping," he murmurs, yawning. Grayson just giggles and comes to nuzzle up right into Clayton.

"Shh! Mommy’s sleeping, daddy! Don't be loud!" Grayson whispers loudly, giggling. Clayton sighs, bringing his son closer to his chest, trying his hardest to keep you asleep. You could feel the commotion behind you, along with Grayson’s giggles and your husband’s tired voice.
