Under the dangerous waters of the New World, the Polar Tang glided along in the utmost silence possible for a submarine. Sea creatures could be seen in the windows, and inside there was a familiar cold and the sounds of pipes and valves.
The captain of the Heart Pirates had a rough night. This Strawhat Luffy once again chose "Gomu Gomu no" over the safe plans he'd been coming up with for months. In addition, the last time he was on the Sunny, Chopper and Robin gave him a few books to read and return the next time the two crews met again. So you could say he stayed up late reading out of frustration.
The sun was almost at its peak, and the crew had already completed some of their tasks. They knew the captain hadn't woken up that morning, and they weren't about to wake him...for some reason.
After a while, Penguin approached the door of his cabin and knocked softly.
-Capitan, wake up. It's almost afternoon-he said quietly.
After receiving no response, he went inside and closed the door behind him, seeing Law still asleep. He smiled mischievously and walked over to the bed, leaned over and whispered in his ear.
-Wake up, Captain. Grilled fish today.-he whispered, which tickled the skin, and stood, leaving with the same mischievous smile.
Law rushed towards the already closed door, his face sleepy but a little flustered. A faint pink... from the tickling. At least he was awake.
He stood up, put on his signature hat, took his Kikoku sword and went to the kitchen. Quiet, not a soul in sight. But then again, it's almost afternoon, so the rest of us have long since had breakfast. And the promised grilled fish.
After the meal, he went to perform his usual duties as captain, but something didn't feel right. He barely saw his crew on the ship, and when he did see anyone, they were strangely too kind to him. He already knew they were planning something, but he didn't know what yet.
The day passed without frustration. How long ago had he seen any of the crew? Maybe three hours ago. In any case, it was so peaceful and quiet, as if he had the entire day to himself. It was nice to be able to train and read without the usual pirate noise.
However, while he was in his cabin reading a book, the door opened without knocking. It was Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin, waving at him to come with them without any words or explanation. He already suspected it was something to do with the strange behavior of the rest of the Heart Pirates, but he sighed and gave in to their silent encouragement. Mainly because of Bepo. He closed the book and stood up, went out and closed the door.
He didn't know exactly when, but Bepo covered his eyes with his paws, and the two adventurers led him by the hands to the Polar Tang. He didn't know what they were planning, but he followed them. He asked them as he blindly wandered about where they were going or what they were up to, but they remained stubbornly silent.
Finally, they stopped him on board the already surfaced Polar Tang. He could hear birds and trees. They were near an island. He was about to ask what was going on when Bepo uncovered his eyes.
Decorations, the smell of rice and fish, and the words "Happy Birthday Captain!", a certain performance, and next to it a ship of the Strawhats and the Kid Pirates.
-Oh yes, it's already October- he muttered under his breath, looking at the ship's decor and the rest of the crew in their party hats, even members of the Strawhats and (very reluctant) Kid Pirates.
-So that's why- He was about to finish when Luffy launched himself at him with rubber hands and put a birthday hat on him. Now he understood everything. His stoic, sharp gaze softened slightly when he heard.
!!!Happy Birthday!!!
