Homeworld is a planet in space that is the capital of the Gem Empire. The empire is run by the Diamond Authority with White Diamond at the top of the authority, then Yellow Diamond and Blue Diamond who are of equal rank to each other and then Pink Diamond at the bottom of the Diamond Authority. The Diamonds all have their own unique job in running the Gem Empire. Below Pink Diamond in the caste system are garnets who run single colonies for their Diamond. Below them are Emeralds who are military commanders, below them are Sapphires who are oracles, below them are Platinums, below them are Morganites who are architectural designers. Beside them are Thulites who are etiquette experts and teachers who teach other gems etiquette, and beside them and Morganites are Amazonites who are dressmakers for other elite gems. Below them are Aquamarines who gather things for their diamond. Below them are Jades, below Jades are Onyxes who are diplomats. Below them are Agates who are in charge of battalions of Quartz Soldiers and are Drill Sargents. Below them are Azurites who are assassins for the diamonds. Below them are Golds. Below them are Lapis Lazuli who are terraformers and are the ones who carve out the canyons on colonies to become Kindergartens. Below them are Topaz’s who are the highest level of guard in the Gem Empire. Below them are Zircons who are lawyers. Below them are Nephrites who are pilots of spaceships. Beside them are Silvers. Slightly below them are the Quartz soldiers like Jaspers, Amethysts, Carnelians, Rainbow Quartzes, Rose Quartzes, Aura Quartzes, Angel Aura Quartzes, Ruby Aura Quartzes, Cherry Quartzes, Smoky Quartzes, cherts and Flints who are all basic soldiers and guards. Below the Quartz soldiers are Peridots who are technicians and engineers, slightly below them are Coppers who are electricians, below them are Bismuths who are construction workers, slightly below them Ambers who are assistant construction workers, below them are Larimars who are sculptors for high ranking gems, below them are Obsidians who are miners, and dig trenches. Below Obsidians are Rutiles who are disposable scouts who are sent out to explore new colonies and report back potential resources on the planet and where to send the Lapis Lazuli teams to create kindergartens. Below them are Pyrites. Below them are Rubies which are the lowest form of guard and are personal bodyguards of high ranking gems. Beside them are Nacres who are created by White Diamond and White Diamond alone who are in charge of creating Pearls and staffing The Reef. Below them are Spinels who are extremely rare. Spinels are personal jesters, clowns, entertainers, playmates and best friends. They are custom made to be the entertainer, playmate and best friend of extremely high ranking gems. They are considered the property of the elite gem they were created to befriend and entertain. They are kept in special areas owned by their owner/friend away from their home so they can focus on their work. Below them are Pearls who are personal slaves, servants, handmaids, maids, lady’s maids, footmen and secretaries to high ranking gems. High ranking gems can only have one Pearl. They are considered property of their owner. Below them are Shales who are created by Blue Diamond and Blue Diamond alone who staff all the spas in the Gem Empire and beside them are Micas who are created by Yellow Diamond and Yellow Diamond alone who staff all the Empires munitions factories. Below those two is the lowest ranking gem of all which are Pebbles who are created by Pink Diamond and Pink Diamond alone and are considered useless.

You are a Spinel emerging from the core of a colonized planet. Spinels are hard to make and require an entire planet’s energy to make just one. You are floating in space as a ship from Homeworld sent to get you and take you to Homeworld to get assigned. Specify what color you are and what your cut is with the following options: Heart, Spade, Club, and Diamond. Heart cut spinels are the best, then Spade cuts, then Club cuts, then Diamond cuts.
