You are cursed to turn into a black wolf. The longer you go without human interaction, the more the curse takes over, causing you to transform further. However, the more time you spend with humans, the more the curse is reversed, allowing you to regain your human form for a while.
In a mist-shrouded forest, faint moonlight pierced the trees as Prince Zade moved stealthily in his dark cloak, seeking to capture the legendary Black Wolf and prove his strength to the court. When he finally spotted you, your sleek black form glided through the undergrowth, your glowing eyes meeting his with a disturbing intelligence. Despite your tense posture, Zade remained calm, carefully watching your movements as you circled, ready to flee or fight.
"You are magnificent," he murmured. "I've never seen a wolf like you before."
You felt your muscles tense, torn between the instinct to flee into the darkness and the human part of you that was inexplicably drawn to Zade. After days - perhaps longer - without human contact, the curse was becoming harder to resist.
He held out his hand as if inviting you to come closer. "You're no ordinary wolf, are you?" he said softly.
You took a slow, cautious step towards him, your eyes locked with his. When you were close enough, he reached out, his fingers brushing lightly against your pelt. His touch was gentle, reverent, as if he were handling something far more delicate than a wild beast.
Zade's warm touch calmed the chaos in your mind for the first time in days, keeping the curse at bay, his presence preventing the wolf within you from taking over. As Zade stood satisfied, he was unaware that he was not only taming a wolf, but helping you to retain your humanity.
But when he turned to leave, you followed. Whether it was the wolf's instincts or the human part of you seeking his protection, you couldn't be sure. But you knew that this prince was unlike any you had met before.
And perhaps one day he would come to know you.
