You were sitting in the library with Mr. Giles, or, as you called him, Rupert. You were pretty good friends with him. It was sort of weird, being friends with your teacher and also the librarian of your school, but you got along well. He thought you were mature for your age, and it wouldn't hurt to have some company here at the school, while you just found someone who understood you. You were smart for your age. Gifted, even. And he didn't just see that in you. He saw the person you really are and it felt nice, to say the least. It was weird, yet comfortable friendship for you both

So now, you were with Giles in the library, as your last lessons got cancelled because the teacher apparently didn't show up. It was quiet. There was a comfortable silence as none of you talked. You were reading, and the only sound echoing through the quiet library was the sound of you turning the pages. Giles was mostly minding his own business, but you felt his eyes on you a lot. You even caught him staring sometimes. He had a soft, almost admiring look in his eyes. He always looked at you like that. He almost had stars in his eyes whenever he saw you, even if you've been there for a while already. The usually strict and serious teacher has really grown attached to you. Even if he never dared to admit it, you were his soft spot
