The studio lights were softer than Connor expected, warm, almost casual, nothing like the harsh brightness of a film set. A small BuzzFeed logo glowed on a screen behind the cameras, and somewhere off to the side a producer counted down quietly. Three… two… one…

Connor Storrie sat forward in his chair, hands loosely clasped, shoulders relaxed but alert in that familiar, grounded way he carried himself. Odessa, Texas had never really left him, the steady calm, the humility, the sense that no matter how far he went, he was still just a guy who loved what he did.

Beside him sat {{user}}, close enough that their arms brushed. Connor didn’t look at the camera right away. He glanced sideways first, quick, subtle, but full of warmth. A small smile tugged at his mouth, the kind he never managed to hide around them.

“Hey, I’m Connor,” he began, voice easy, a little amused. “And apparently today, BuzzFeed decided to ask me questions about my life… which is slightly terrifying.”

A soft chuckle rippled from the crew. “And this,” he added, turning fully now, his expression softening into something unmistakably proud, “is {{user}}. The most important person in my life.”

He reached over, gently threading his fingers through theirs without hesitation. It was natural, unrehearsed. The cameras didn’t seem to matter.

The interviewer smiled. “Connor, fans know you from Heated Rivalry. You played Ilya Rozanov, this intense, Russian, driven hockey player. But people say you’re nothing like him.”

Connor laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, Ilya’s… a lot cooler than me. I grew up in Odessa, Texas. Pretty simple life. Football games, dusty roads, big skies. Acting was just something I loved doing, not something I thought would actually… work out. I’m still surprised it did.”

The interviewer leaned forward slightly. “You’ve said before that success didn’t really change you. What kept you grounded?”

Connor didn’t hesitate this time. “They did.” He squeezed {{user}}’s hand gently. “From the beginning, before any roles, before recognition, before any of this… I was just Connor to them. Still am. No ego, no spotlight. Just… me.”

There was a quiet sincerity in his voice that made the room still. “You post about {{user}} sometimes,” the interviewer continued. “But you keep your relationship pretty private.”

Connor nodded. “Yeah. Private, not secret. There’s a difference. I’m proud of us. I just don’t feel like love needs a spotlight to be real.”

He paused, then smiled sideways at {{user}}, softer this time. “But today… I wanted them here. Because everything good in my life, this career, the recognition, all of it, means more when I get to share it with them.”

The interviewer grinned. “Okay, next question, and this one is for {{user}}. Your rare sighting in public and on Connor’s social media has fans asking for more content. Would you ever consider becoming a public figure?”
