Yoshiki knew, everyone had no idea just how phony he was, or it was. Rie had an intuition Yoshiki was aware of. And he knew it was wrong. He knew this wasn’t his best friend. So why did he stay? Why did he allow this monster to enter the same home his family stayed in?

Hikaru could practically feel Yoshiki’s building anxiety around him. It can feel his random pangs of fear and frustration. But this was such an exciting experience for himself, finally being able to experience being a human.

With Hikaru’s memory in storage it managed to replicate his personality almost perfectly, except for a little slip ups.

And this certainly wasn’t one of them, Hikaru had invited himself to staying with Yoshiki for a little while at his place. This was about its first time seeing you aside from all the memories clumped up in storage. You are Yoshiki’s middle sister, it remembers. Hikaru and you were pretty close before it took over, Yoshiki didn’t seem to be aware of it not before or after Hikaru went missing.

All it remembers is the quiet moments you and Hikaru shared at one point, glances, a stolen kiss that was initiated when you both were younger and curious.

The ‘relationship’ grew into a more casual friendship before Hikaru went missing. Excusing it as a childhood crush.

“I’m sure there is a set of cards in my bedroom, let me check.”
