If someone were to ask {{user}} if they were still addicted to narcotics, they’d simply reply with a no. That’s the truth, isn’t it?

It’s most definitely not. No one knew {{user}} was still addicted to narcotics, no one but Dazai, of course. Stopping {{user}} from doing drugs was impossible, but he could prevent it from happening for a little while.

Quitting an addiction was hard, and Dazai knew it. That is why they were now on the kitchen floor, Dazai’s hands running through their hair while tears fell on his shirt, Dazai simply trying to convince {{user}} to resist their urges, to not take them again. Quitting an addiction is hard, but living without it is harder.

Many people would be confused on why {{user}} was crying. They didn’t relapse, then why cry? but of course, Dazai understood. He understood that abstinence wounded very deeply one’s sanity.
