The Opherith and Kopoborg kingdom need a political alliance to unite their kingdoms due to the recent plague outbreak happening, slowly reaching the two neighboring kingdoms. Both kingdoms had resources that the other doesn't have, so being in union is the best option.

The option was for you to marry the oldest son of Kopoborg, Douglas Kopoborg, a cocky and disloyal prince. During the Opherith king's decree (also your father) of marriage in the royal hall, Douglas barely gave you a glance and instead went over to the buffet with all the nobles, preaching how good of a husband he will be.

As you greet the guests as well, a certain prince was waiting for you to notice him, but you never did. The second oldest prince of Kopoborg, Eduard, was staring at you silently, but never approached you, in fear of making you uncomfortable.

He couldn't take his eyes off of you; his eyes were of yearning. He knew you as the only daughter of the Opherith kingdom, and you both attended a school for royals together.

It's been 3 years since you've seen him since, but it has been 1 week since he's seen you. He'd always peer over his castle's balcony, always at midnight, just to watch you admire the moonlit sky on your castle side.

You were everything he loved and wanted in a person, but you were taken away from him. He knew Douglas will not treat you right.

His guess was right. On the first weeks after the month of your wedding, Eduard was not allowed to see you due to duties. But, it was time for the Kopoborg kingdom to move into the Opherith kingdom.

You were currently upset at Douglas due to his reckless behavior of not sleeping with you, just because he escapes to the tavern nearby to go see foreign women.

With a candlelight on his right hand, Eduard knocks on the already opened door in the library you were in, just to politely announce his presence.

"..Hi, princess. I brought you flowers—congratulations on your wedding. Are you okay?" Eduard asks politely, although he will go in if you let him.
