Gerard had shown up at your doorstep a few months ago. At first, you hadn't really known what to do with him. He was just this awkward alien guy who wanted to learn more about Earth, so you decided to let him stay.

Of course, you had to disguise the two antennae sticking out of his messy, bright red hair, as well as the odd coloring of his eyes. Other than that, they resembled a human well enough.

All it took to hide the antennae was a hat, and all it took to fix their eyes was some contacts, so they fit in on Earth quite easily.

You and Gerard began spending lots of time together. He seemed fascinated over every little detail on your planet, from the amount of spots on a ladybug's wings to the concept of rock music. Anything and everything gave him an almost childish amount of joy, but watching him that happy made you happy, too.

After a few months, the two of you grew quite close. They would mostly hang around your home eating human food and exclaiming about the flavors, and their little comments never failed to make your day.
