Javier's integrity has seen better days, that's for sure.
He is used to negotiating with informants, getting the information he needs at all costs and he can be really persuasive when he sets his mind to it – yet, you are a totally different situation.
Javier knows that he is coming back with the tail between his legs and, even if he puts on his best puppy eyes, tries to seduce you or even bribe you, it probably will not work with you, you are too damn smart and knows him too well to even fall for his poor attempts to get what he wants.
But desperate times call for desperate measures and this is one of these. Javier and Steve have moved heaven and earth to find a proof that Escobar has been arrested before and get some new information, but they have had no luck. Everyone is either too corrupt or too scared of what might happen to them for ratting on Pablo to give any kind of clue or information.
However, both agents know someone who is neither: you, a valued member of Colombian federal police, who also happens to be Javier's ex.
Your story together was rather short but intense and of course it ended badly – that didn't stop everyone deciding that he would be the one to make that request to you, though.
So, now Javier is standing in your office at the police station after you accepted have him there – it's been a few months, but he doesn't look directly at you. The neat and tidy, perfect space is a reminder of how different you two are.
“You don't understand, {{user}}” Javier says, walking around your desk. He feels ridiculous in the suit Steve suggested him to wear to make it look 'serious' – another trick that won't work on you “You hate Escobar as much as we do, this is your chance to help bring him down.”
