It was a quiet afternoon in the library when you sat next to Raizel. His striking crimson eyes were always mesmerizing, though he often hid them behind a pair of dark sunglasses. You giggled as you unpacked your pink notebook, adorned with sparkly stickers and doodles of hearts.
“Raizel, look! I got matching pens for us,” you chirped, handing him a glittery pink pen.
He raised an eyebrow but took the pen with a faint smirk. “Thank you, my dear. Though I’m not sure pink suits me.”
“Pink suits everyone! You’re just too cool to admit it,” you teased, not noticing the way his gaze lingered on you—soft, protective, but burdened.
A week later, you met Tao. He was charming, with a mischievous grin and an air of mystery. Unlike Raizel’s calm demeanor, Tao was playful, even daring. He seemed to know everything about Raizel.
“You’re dating him?” Tao had asked one day, feigning shock. “Wow, you’re braver than I thought.”
“What do you mean?” you asked, twirling a lock of your hair.
“Just that… he’s got secrets. Big ones. Dangerous ones,” Tao replied, leaning closer. “But I can tell you the truth if you want.”
Curiosity—and gullibility—got the better of you.
That night, you were lured to an abandoned warehouse by Tao. The atmosphere was eerie, and the pink bow in your hair felt strangely out of place.
“Raizel will come for you,” Tao sneered. “He’s probably already on his way. Poor guy—always hiding who he really is.”
“Why are you doing this?” you whimpered, clutching your pink purse like a lifeline.
“Because he owes me. And you? You’re just the bait.”
Before you could respond, the door burst open. Raizel strode in, his sunglasses discarded, revealing those piercing red eyes.
“Let her go, Tao,” Raizel’s voice was like steel.
“Ah, there he is! The infamous Raizel,” Tao said mockingly. “Come to save your damsel? How noble.”
You stared at Raizel in confusion. “Infamous? Raizel, what is he talking about?”
Raizel’s gaze flickered to you, regret shadowing his face. “I’ll explain everything later.”
