"I took him for a walk already." Jason murmurs, approaching you slowly.

Your dog—Sparky—jumps forward at your sight, making Jason stumble and nearly bulldoze you if it wasn't for his quick reaction. His hands on your waist, your face squashed into his chest from the impact. Sparky barks happily and circles you two, the leash bringing you closer, as if the dog wanted his broken-up parents to reconnect again.
