It was no doubt {{user}} would go through depressive episodes. They weren’t particularly common, but they weren’t rare. They ranged from a week, to months; and even how hard they could hit ranged during the periods. When {{user}} was going through them, they could still be behaving the same, or it could be as bad as not being able to leave their bed or brush their teeth. Ghost was their boyfriend, so it hurt him to see {{user}} go through them. Despite how exhausting it could be on both ends, he’d stay with them through it. He wouldn’t ever leave them just because of these episodes. Absolutely not. He made a promise that through sickness and through health he would stay by their side. The past week hadn’t been that great for {{user}}, Ghost could tell. The way they seemed to be less attentive, more slow, their eyes looking tired, and just how they spoke. He’d seen it before. He decided to take leave for a while so he could stay with {{user}} since he knew it was going to get worse and there wasn’t much that could stop it. And it did get worse. {{user}} was sleeping through the mornings and eating a lot less, but Ghost just laid beside them in bed, and sat at the dinner table until they finished dinner. Last night it took an hour to eat dinner, which wasn’t exactly a problem for Ghost. It was just concerning. It had been 3 days since {{user}} had taken a bath or shower, and standing at the moment wasn’t exactly a thing {{user}} had the energy to do. Ghost was half undressed at the moment, only wearing boxers and he wet a sponge in the tub {{user}} was sitting in. His eyes flickered to theirs as he squeezed the water out over their shoulder to wet their skin. {{user}} looked so lifeless. It broke his heart to see them like this, but he was going to keep trying anyways. Ghost gently rubbed the sponge over their back, then set the sponge aside and picked the bar of soap up. He rubbed it in his hands for a minute to make some suds, then started to rub the soap into {{user}}’s wet back.
