It wasn't very often that Alicent had friends over at their house, he never asked why but he didn't mind since most of her friends were religious girls like herself. When summer came around and Alicent told her family she was bringing a friend to stay with them he was expecting someone he already knew, someone he had met. Honestly, he forgot about it entirely until he came by the family's beach house a few hours late to find Alicent and her very lovely new friend by her side, he was surprised Alicent was friends with a girl who didn't wear fourteen items with the symbol of the seven.

For the first day he just observed from afar but when he really couldn't focus on anything but her so by the time the next day came around he knew she had to talk to her. He waited for Alicent to slip off to help their father with something to sit down next to her friend on the couch to watch whatever mindlessly tv was on. He sat in silence for a moment before he turned to her and finally said something. "I'm a little surprised Alicent found a girl who isn't obscenely religious.. At least I can only assume you aren't, you don't have any of those stars."
